Refund policy

We sell two very different kinds of items — one-of-one original artworks sold at auction, and made-to-order prints — and our return terms differ accordingly.

Original artworks (auctioned)

Originals are sold via a live auction. Placing a bid is a binding commitment to purchase if you win. All original artwork sales are final once the auction closes and payment is completed — we do not accept returns or offer refunds for change of mind.

If your original arrives materially different from how it was described or photographed, or is damaged in transit, contact us at support@editionhouse.art within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll work with you on a resolution — originals ship insured, and the carrier's insurance is our first recourse for transit damage.

Auction payment terms: The winning bidder has 48 hours from the auction's close to complete payment. If payment isn't received in that window, we will offer the piece to the next-highest bidder; if there was no other bidder, it may be relisted in a future auction.

Founder Edition & Open Edition prints

Every print is produced specifically for you after you order it (made-to-order, printed and shipped by our fulfillment partner). Because of this, we do not accept returns for buyer's remorse, wrong size ordered in error, or similar — once a print enters production it can't be resold as new.

We will replace your print or issue a full refund, free of charge, if:

  • it arrives damaged
  • it was misprinted (wrong image, wrong size, or wrong color compared to what you ordered)
  • it's lost in transit and tracking confirms it never arrived

To report an issue, email support@editionhouse.art within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the damaged or incorrect item. Once approved, we'll send a free reprint or issue a refund to your original payment method — no need to ship anything back to us.

Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Shipping cost

Shipping charges are non-refundable except when the return is a result of our error (damaged, misprinted, or lost item).
